Personal Values Assessment

Personal Values Assessment

Our values reflect what’s important to us – who we are, what we hold dear, what upsets us, and what underlies our decisions. Our personal values are a shorthand way of describing our individual motivations. Together with our beliefs, they are the causal factors that drive our decision-making.

Understanding our values helps us to understand why we may act or ‘re-act’ the way we do. When we live in alignment with our values, we feel in balance. When we go against our values, we can feel as though we’re not being the best we can be. If we continue to live in conflict with our values, events in our life often reflect this back to us.
